by:UFO      2020-07-27

So Apple's WWDC 2013 finally comes and ends. There's no information about the mobile products we're expecting, but Apple did release some historical products in the wwdc 13. Let's see what you should know about Apple's WWDC13.

iOS 7

Since no iPhone 5s or iPad 5 from the Worldwide Development Conference this year, iOS 7 becomes the most hotly anticipated product from Apple. The new mobile operating system has a big change from the previous ones. The most obvious change is that ios 7 goes flat compare with the previous ios. Apple seems ditch the traditional design philosophy and prefers a much flatter look and feel. The new icons and buttons in ios 7 all goes flat.

Another change of the ios 7 is that it comes with a Control Center, which offers users instant access to brightness, volume, airplane mode, Bluetooth, Do not disturb, and a flashlight app. The Control Center can be accessed by swiping the screen from the bottom to the top. And iOS 7 enables multitasking across all apps. There's a new version of Safari and brand new app Apple Radio included in the new OS. The new iOS 7 will be available for iPhone 4, 4S, and iPhone 5; iPad 2, 3, and 4th generation; iPad Mini; and 5th generation or later iPod Touch.

Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks

Besides the mobile operating system, Apple also revamped its Mac operating system. Unlike the traditional names after leopard or lion, this time Apple named its new mac OS Mavericks. It seems Tim Cook is really trying to build a different Apple kingdom from Jobs. Mavericks will be available today in a preview for developers, and for everyone else this fall. The new Mac OS Mavericks will have improved battery life, better power management and many new applications. Besides, you can add tags to file names to make it clear and easy to find.

And there's an updated Safari coming. The latest Safari will feature a new home screen with top sites, and what's known as a Reading list, a tool that lets users keep scrolling from the end of articles to the next stories on a site. To compete with Google, Apple also brings map tools to Mac OS, features 3D maps. The new Apple maps tools has the ability to get an instant estimated time of arrival for any address in a calendar event.

MacBook Air

Other than updated OS, Apple released several new models of Macbook Air. The new Airs will cost $999 for an 11-inch display with a 128GB Flash drive, or $1,099 for one with 256GB. A 13-inch model with 128GB capacity will be $1,099, while $1,299 will get you a 256GB Flash drive.

Mac Pro

To support the Mac pro users, Apple announced a new Mac Pro, which will have an all-new cylinder shape, and will feature the Intel Xeon chip, with up to 12 cores. The new Mac Pro will support as many as three 4K displays. But Apple didn't say the specific time when it will be released, nor the pricing of new mac pro. We only know it will come within this year.
