lithium batteryA lithium battery is a rechargeable in which lithium ions move from a negative electrode to the positive electrode during discharge and the opposite when charged. Lithium ion batteries are common in rechargeable electronic items, such as music players, laptops, electric shavers, cameras, camcorders and telephones.

Reconditioning a lithium ion battery can help restore function if the battery is losing efficiency. Unlike reconditioning nickel-based batteries, lithium ion batteries do not require you to fully drain the battery. Instructions 1 Turn the electronic item off. Plug the power adapter into the electronic item. Allow the power adapter to fully charge the lithium ion battery. 2 Remove the power adapter. Turn the item on. 3 Allow the lithium ion battery to power the electronic item. Continue powering the item until the battery is around 50 to 60 percent used. The products should have some sort of indicator to give you a basic idea of the battery level. 4 Turn the electronic item off. Plug the power adapter into the electronic item. Allow it to fully charge the battery. Repeat the process two more times until the battery has been discharged and recharged a total of three times.
